The Rebel (2021)
Yes, it is blown up. And no I didn't do it on our balcony. Our music alone is enough to, let's say, entertain the neigbours. Imagine if I would blow up a metal sheet...
But extremely impressive what an explosion can do. The goal was to use something that is often misused for bad and sad actions for a work of art. Even if it is not easy to imagine, but it can really do beautiful things.
The color and the rebellious screaming woman provide an extreme contrast between the sheet metal powder-coated with special military colors, which is completely light absorbing, and the painting that shines through the explosion holes.

Ja. Es ist gesprengt. Und nein ich habe es nicht auf unserem Balkon gemacht. Schon unsere Musik reicht um die Anwohner zu, ja sagen wir mal unterhalten. Stell dir vor wenn ich da ein Blech sprenge...
Aber extrem eindrücklich was Sprengstoff alles anrichtet. Etwas das vielfach nur zu schlimmen und traurigen Handlungen missbraucht wird für ein Kunstwerk zu verwenden war das Ziel. Auch wenn es nicht einfach vorzustellen ist, aber es kann wirklich auch schöne Sachen anrichten.
Die Farbe und die rebellisch schreiende Frau sorgen für einen extremen Kontrast zwischen dem mit spezial Militärfarben Pulverbeschichtetem Blech, welches komplett Licht absorbierend ist und dem Gemälde dass durch die Explosionslöcher hervorscheint.
