HANGING STEEL BALL SIDEBOARD

HANGING STEEL BALL SIDEBOARD

A unique piece of art furniture, inspired by the iconic Newton’s cradle: Four hollow steel spheres, arranged side by side, create a mesmerizing fusion of art, light, and illusion.

Inside each sphere lies a handcrafted artwork, created using my signature lacquer and scratch technique. Integrated LED spotlights illuminate the interior, highlighting the intricate designs. Each sphere also features an almost invisible platform, allowing sculptures or objects to be displayed without obscuring the background art.

At night, the furniture reveals its true magic: the matte black steel shells vanish into the darkness, leaving only the illuminated interiors visible. This creates a stunning optical illusion, making it seem as though the glowing spheres are floating in mid-air.

The exterior of the spheres is coated in ultra-matte paint, while a custom-designed, ultra-thin 6 mm stainless steel suspension system discreetly hides the power supply. No visible cables—just pure elegance.

The spheres can be suspended at heights of up to 4 meters, and each one is fully customizable. Both the interior and exterior can be painted in any color or enhanced with luxurious metal leaf finishes, making this piece adaptable to any space or style.

This art furniture is a perfect fit for various interior settings, seamlessly blending into loft spaces, historic apartments, and modern new-builds. It brings a captivating, contemporary aesthetic to any environment, making light and space an integral part of your living experience.

Combining technical innovation with artistic sophistication, this installation transforms any room into a dynamic and inspiring space.
